Statements of Belief
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. AMEN.
The Constitution of the Presbyterian Church (USA) includes eleven confessional statements that serve as a guide to what the Scripture leads us to believe and do. These statements are as follows:

Meet-and-Eat
This is a wonderful way to become better acquainted with the people who attend Lafayette; to be able to put a name … with a face … with some personal knowledge about your fellow church members! This is an easy way for the church family to know YOU, too!
Small groups share a meal once a month over a four-month period of time. Each member or couple in the group “hosts” a meal for their group, choosing an area restaurant where the group will meet and eat together.
If you would like to participate, please fill out the sheet in the Narthex and give it to Martha M. or place it in the offering plate. Current participants will be automatically re-enrolled in either the evening or Lunch Bunch, unless Martha is notified. Rides are available.

Prayer Walk and Memory Garden
The Prayer Walk and Memory Garden grace our property and offer members and visitors an opportunity to read brief passages of Scripture in the quiet of God's natural beauty, reflect, pray, and enjoy the fountain, greenery, birds, and more. Located along the driveway into the property, these two features were created separately as Eagle Scout projects by Brody and Kevin. To learn more about use of the Memory Garden, please speak to the pastor.
