The mission of Dogwood Acres is to provide a retreat environment in which individuals and groups can grow in faith and enjoy wholesome recreation and Christian fellowship in a natural and unspoiled part of creation. Lafayette wholeheartedly supports UKirk Tallahassee, the Presbyterian Ministry at FSU: financially, through Board representation, through service projects, and through occasional provision of dinners on Thursday nights, just prior to UKirk Tallahassee's "Listening Point."

Our VBS isn’t just a mass-produced program from “out of a box!” We create our own program, and it is inter-generational (yup! it’s for EVERYONE,) educational, fast-paced, and fun!
Our schedule is absolutely UNIQUE!
We will have more information about VBS 2025 available in early summer.
